About Us
While most kids spent their allowance on candy, we were buying lipstick and hair color. Beauty has always been our thing. We’re sisters Jacey Miner and Cricket Miner, and our passion for hair and color has shaped careers that span more than two decades behind the chair and throughout the beauty industry.
Licensed cosmetologists in Kansas since 2001, we’ve trained across the country with some of the industry’s top artists and educators. Our experience includes editorial styling, commercial and film work, international calendar shoots, celebrity styling, NFL cheer squads, and even consulting for a Miss Universe contestant. Along the way we’ve also trained nationally for leading beauty brands and salon organizations.
Today we’re proud to be salon owners serving the Kansas City area we love. What began with Uppity by the Miner Sisters has grown into our newest chapter — Hue Kaboom — where we’re bringing our passion for beautiful, confidence-boosting hair color to an exciting new space.
What started as two sisters sharing a passion for beauty has grown into something even more exciting — and we’re just getting started.
